Information about Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders
The Children’s Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders (CCBD) provides around-the-clock care to children in a seven state region and beyond. Our physicians treat 200-250 new patients each year and follow 600 active patients as well as 600 long-term survivors annually.
The Center is the only dedicated pediatric cancer center in the Rocky Mountain region, and it is home to numerous specialized programs, which provide state-of-the-art methods for diagnosing and treating complex diseases. Children’s has the region’s only Pediatric Neuro-Oncology Program for brain tumor diagnosis and treatment, the only program for teen-aged children with cancer, the only Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant Program, and the only pediatric Experimental Therapeutics Program investigating promising new drugs for cancer treatment.
Already a top 10 cancer program in the nation, CCBD aspires to be the very best.
